ABOUT THE PROJECT

Elevator Art Residence is a venue for concerts and exhibitions. It is located in the former boiler plant building.

The mission of the project is to unite creative teams and give them the opportunity to express themselves.

7-meter ceilings make any installation possible.

Elevator Records studio is also located inside.

Total area of the space is 700 m².

The seating capacity is up to 300 people.

You can arrange any installation here.

The ceiling height is 7 meters.

We are ready to support you and will help out with any kind of installation, even the most unusual artworks.

We are the best among the loft and underground venues in the city.

The hall has up to 300 seats.

Additionally, you can rent sound and light equipment from us.

In our recording studio it is possible to record and mix sound, as well as to rent the necessary equipment.


We also offer to rent a place for rehearsals.

Musicians, DJs and other artists perform here; exhibitions and plays are held in the venue as well.


We organize the events that develop cultural environment of the city.

PROJECT HISTORY, TOLD BY ITS FOUNDER

"Having graduated in Geneva with a degree in Art management, I returned to my hometown. Here I decided to create an art residence in the former boiler house of the Samara Elevator.

The project attracted a great deal of public attention: almost all creative teams in the region participated in it. Our collaboration was based on pure altruism.

I think, t rue love of free art and self-realization was in everything we did. More than 50 events were held in the "boiler room", after which the Elevator team started the renovation of the space. Our aim is to make it more comfortable and modern".

RECONSTRUCTION

The residence is located in the former boiler house of the Elevator plant, founded in 1916. The industrial past has given the site large factory windows. We decided to leave them intact (as well as the old chipped bricks in the walls).

Respecting the natural underground style of the place, we are going to add comfort to it with the help of renovation. The recording studio Elevator Records is working in the residence during the whole process of renovation.

Project launch date: Spring 2023

ELEVATOR RECORDS

The founders of the recording studio are Dmitry Musin and Vladimir Nikitin - the musicians of "Mailo" band. They have always wanted to open their own place for rehearsals, similar to Degraw Sound in New York. The dream came true in 2018.

Almost everything in space is made by hand. Today Elevator Records is one of the main centers of Samara music community.

Loft located in the former cash desk area of the Elevator plant. We offer the functionality of a photo studio and the space for private events.
